Paul Austin – Director

Paul is an expert in his field, having spent nearly 30 years in the sail and cover making industry.Being widely known for his excellent customer service and support and with industry renowned product knowledge, Paul is now sharing his wealth of experience as Director of Sunstorm Covers.

James Shelmerdine

James began sailing at age 6 and has worked in the marine industry ever since. He taught sailing and windsurfing for Neilson before spending the last 14 years making sails and covers.
After starting in a family-run loft in the South West, he moved to the Solent and worked with two major sailmaking brands, gaining experience across design, production, servicing, and customer support. He now oversees sales, bespoke cover manufacturing, and winter service and repairs.
Oli Arnold

Oli comes from a sailing family and has sewn from a young age, focusing her studies on textiles. She went on to work for two major international sailmakers, combining her passion for design and sewing.
For the past six years, Oli has worked with Paul on patterning and manufacturing covers. She now oversees production for key account customers and enjoys turning rough ideas into finished custom designs.
